An annual program from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources that offers grants to support land acquisition and trail development in order to promote relatively short trail connections between where people live and desirable locations. Cities, counties, and townships in Minnesota are eligible to apply for $5,000 - $100,000 in funding, with a 50% cash match required.
Application forms (available at the web site below) are due annually. For 2012, applications are due on March 30.
