What's FRESH and LOCAL in August? The first class in our new FRESH & LOCAL series will showcase August's dazzling array of peak produce, delivered fresh by our local farmer partners, including Wisconsin Growers Cooperative and Gardens of Eagan in Farmington. Focused on eating fresh, local and economical, each coaching class in this healthy series will include exploring our produce department and co-op with healthy kitchen coach Loris Sofia Gregory, while learning about new and featured local foods and our local farmer partners. Classes will also include simple prep ideas, easy recipes, monthly menu planning and storing and preserving tips for local produce. Keep inspired with a FRESH & LOCAL class the third Tuesday of each month, including Sept. 20, Oct. 18, and Nov. 15 from 6:30-8:30 pm. Each class is $15 for co-op members and $18 for non-members.
