We need Zero Waste Educators!

Friends of the Mississippi is in need zero-waste education volunteers for our annual fundraising paddle, the Mississippi River Challenge, Saturday July 28th, from 10:45-2:00pm at the Russel A. Sorenson Landing along the Minnesota River in East Bloomington.

Volunteers will help our event work towards zero-waste by educating the public on how to properly recycle and compost at the on the Mississippi River Challenge. Tools and sorting guidelines will be provided.

Don't forget, all volunteers receive a t-shirt and food, but those who sign up for two or more volunteer shifts are also invited to join the party Saturday the 28th at Historic Fort Snelling, normally $20-$25, for free!
