Oct 10, 2009 Goose Lake Native Planting Event Great River Greening needs the help of 50 community volunteers to plant native grasses, forbs, and shrubs at the Goose Lake boat launch in order to improve water quality and restore the native plant community at this site. The primary task of this project consists of planting native emergent and transitional vegetation along the degraded shoreline as well as shrubs and native upland vegetation within degraded shoreland buffer. Support provided by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, the Non-Point Engineering Assistance Program, the Washington County Conservation District, and the Carnelian-Marine Watershed District.
