Global Warming Colloquium

Public invited to listen, participate and network as top environmental, business and community leaders gather to discuss how to address increasingly urgent human-generated climate change at a Global Warming Colloquium, presented by Hamline University’s Center for Global Environmental Education. The evening’s formal program will focus on “Looking for Leadership” in four different sectors of society.

Panel Members include:
- Will Steger, Polar Explorer and Educator, discussing education leadership
- Chris Coleman, Mayor of St. Paul, discussing government leadership
- J. Drake Hamilton, Science Policy Advisor from Minnesotans for an Energy-Efficient Economy, discussing non-profit leadership
- Cynthia Lesher, President and CEO of Northern States Power, an Xcel Energy Company, discussing business leadership

Since 1990, Hamline University’s Center for Global Environmental Education has offered teachers, students, community leaders, and concerned citizens inspired instruction and outstanding educational resources. Will Steger’s pioneering work in adventure-based environmental education was pivotal to the Center’s creation. The Center for Global Environmental Education has now grown to include graduate-level coursework and degrees, learning projects for K-12 classrooms, community education initiatives, and internationally-recognized educational multimedia production.
